Removal Procedure

Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
Remove the lower trim cover. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
Remove the tilt lever spring (2).
Remove the retaining bolt (3) from the tilt lever.
