Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition ON, verify DTC P0615 is set as current.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the crank relay, test for 60-80 ohms of resistance between relay terminals 85 and 86.
- If not within the specified range, replace the crank relay.
- Test for less than 1.0 ohm of resistance the relay ground circuit and ground.
- If greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition OFF, connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminal 86 and the ground circuit terminal 85.Fully depress clutch pedal on manual transmissions or PARK/Neutral on automatic transmissions. Place the ignition mode to the start position. The test lamp should only illuminate when the ignition is held in the start position.
- If the test lamp is always On, test the control circuit for short to voltage.
- If the test lamp is always OFF, test the control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
If the circuit tests normal replace the ECM.
