July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition ON, verify DTC P0615 is set as current.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the crank relay, test for 60-80 ohms of resistance between relay terminals 85 and 86.
    • If not within the specified range, replace the crank relay.
  3. Test for less than 1.0 ohm of resistance the relay ground circuit and ground.
    • If greater than the specified value, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  4. Ignition OFF, connect a test lamp between the control circuit terminal 86 and the ground circuit terminal 85.Fully depress clutch pedal on manual transmissions or PARK/Neutral on automatic transmissions. Place the ignition mode to the start position. The test lamp should only illuminate when the ignition is held in the start position.
    • If the test lamp is always On, test the control circuit for short to voltage.
