CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution . CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution . Preliminary Procedure Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RPO LS4) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (RPOs LZE/LZ4/LZ9) . Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling . Remove the tilt lever. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement . Remove the steering wheel. Refer to Steering Wheel Replacement . Remove the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement .
1	Ignition Lock Cylinder Retaining Pin Access Hole Tip: Rotate the ignition lock cylinder to the crank position. Use a suitable tool to depress the lock cylinder retaining pin through the access hole. Release the lock cylinder the to run position.
2	Ignition Lock Cylinder Tip: Pull the ignition lock cylinder from the steering column.

Preliminary Procedure

Ignition Lock Cylinder Retaining Pin Access Hole
Tip:

Rotate the ignition lock cylinder to the crank position.
Use a suitable tool to depress the lock cylinder retaining pin through the access hole.
Release the lock cylinder the to run position.

Ignition Lock Cylinder
Tip: Pull the ignition lock cylinder from the steering column.
