Removal Procedure

- Drain the coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System
in Engine Cooling.
- Remove the air intake duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement .

- Disconnect the idle air control (IAC) valve electrical connector.

- Disconnect the throttle position (TP) sensor electrical connector.

- Remove the accelerator control cable bracket. Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement .

- Disconnect the throttle body coolant bypass hoses.
- Disconnect the heater pipe nut at the throttle body.
- Remove the nuts and bolts holding the throttle body to the intake manifold.
- Remove the throttle body assembly.
- Remove the old gasket.
