Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo and 2004 Chevrolet Impala. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the caliper from the mounting bracket and support the caliper with heavy mechanics wire or equivalent. It is not necessary to disconnect the hydraulic brake flexible hose from the caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Rear .
  2. Remove the rear brake pads.
  3. Remove the caliper bracket bolts (2).
  4. Remove the caliper bracket (1).
