July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Installation Procedure

  1. Coat the spline on the clutch disc with multi-purpose grease.
  2. Align the pressure plate and the clutch disc onto the flywheel using the J 42474  . See Special Tools .
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the pressure plate bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 15 N.m (11 lb ft)  .

  5. Remove the J 42474  . See Special Tools .
  6. Install the transaxle into the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission - D16 or Transmission Replacement in Manual Transmission - D20.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
