Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 3.4L.
  2. Note the routing of the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor harness before removal.
  3. Remove the CKP sensor harness retaining clip bolt (4).
  4. Remove the CKP sensor harness retaining clip (3).
  5. Disconnect the CKP sensor.
  6. Remove the CKP sensor bolts (4).
  7. Remove the CKP sensor (1).
