Installation Procedure

  1. Install the coolant temperature sensor into the threaded hole in the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve mounting adapter.

    Tighten:  Tighten the coolant temperature sensor to 20 N.m (15 lb ft)  .

  2. Connect the electrical connector to the coolant temperature sensor.
  3. Refill the engine cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System (2.0L)  or Draining and Filling Cooling System (2.5L) .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
