Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Pontiac Grand Am and 2004 Oldsmobile Alero. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Oldsmobile) Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Pontiac) .
  2. Remove the front door water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
  3. Remove the front door window. Refer to Window Replacement - Front Door .
  4. Remove the front door rear view mirror. Refer to Mirror Replacement .

  6. Remove the channel lower bolt (4).
  7. Remove the push-in retainer (2) at the top of the channel.
  8. Remove the window run channel weather-strip (3) from the front door window.
