July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Fuel Pressure Regulator: Installation

  1. Install a new "O" ring. Apply a thin coat of oil to the "O" ring. Install the fuel pressure regulator. Install the fuel pressure regulator retaining bolts. Tighten the retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install the throttle body. See THROTTLE BODY  under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Reconnect the fuel return line. Reconnect the vacuum line. Start the engine. Check for fuel leaks.

  1. Connect the fuel return hose to the fuel pressure regulator. Install a new "O" ring on the fuel pressure regulator. Apply a thin coat of oil to the "O" ring in order to ease installation. Install the fuel pressure regulator into the fuel rail.
  2. Secure the fuel pressure regulator to the fuel rail with the two bolts. Tighten the bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the vacuum line to the fuel pressure regulator. Connect the battery. Start the engine. Check for fuel leaks.
