July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Eldorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the steering knuckle.
  2. Install the strut to steering knuckle retaining bolts and nuts.
  3. Connect the lower ball joint to the steering knuckle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  4. Install the lower ball joint retaining nut.

    Tighten 

    • Tighten the lower ball joint retaining nut to 10N.m (7 lb in).
    • Tighten an additional 150 degrees (2 1/2 flats) plus an additional 60 degrees rotation for cotter pin alignment.
  5. Install a new cotter pin.
  6. Connect the Road Sensing Suspension position sensor link to the lower control arm.
  7. Connect the outer tie rod end to the steering knuckle. Refer to TIE ROD END REPLACEMENT - OUTER .

  8. Install the wheel bearing and hub assembly. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Front .
  9. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to TIRE AND WHEEL REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  10. Lower the vehicle.
