Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Eldorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Important: During installation make sure the child restraint tether anchors center (1), outboard (2) are installed with the anti-rotation tabs firmly seated in the anti-rotation holes on the cross car beam. The anti-rotation tabs face forward on both the center and outboard anchors.
- Install the child restraint tether anchors (1, 2) to the cross car beam.NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the child restraint tether anchor fasteners.
Tighten
Tighten the child restraint tether anchor fasteners to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
- Install the rear shelf panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - REAR WINDOW SHELF in Interior Trim.
