Forward Servo: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install cover, O-ring, piston assembly and spring. See Figure .
  2. Install the forward servo cover attaching bolts. Tighten the forward servo cover attaching bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Remove the drain pan from under the forward servo cover. Adjust the jackstand to raise the rear of the frame. Install the frame bolts. See appropriate REMOVAL & INSTALLATION article.
  4. Remove the support from the rear of the frame. Install the power steering cooler pipe to the right side of the frame. Install the engine mount lower nuts. Install the transaxle mount lower nuts.
  5. Install the power steering gear. See appropriate POWER RACK & PINION article in STEERING. Lower the vehicle. Fill transaxle with appropriate fluid to proper level. See LUBRICATION  .
