DTC 25/35: Security Indicator Status: Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Firebird and 2002 Chevrolet Camaro. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: DTC 35 is required for Content Theft Deterrent (CTD) operation. SECURITY indicator must be detected for alarm to function.

Body Control Module (BCM) provides an output on THEFT Light Emitting Diode (LED) control circuit.

DTC 25/35 will set when ignition switch is turned to RUN position and BCM does not detect a SECURITY control circuit through BCM connector C3 terminal C12 (Gray wire). Presence of SECURITY indicator control circuit connected through connector C3 at time of battery connection is required for proper CTD operation.
