TP Sensor Learn Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

If a NEW Throttle Position (TP) sensor or throttle body is installed, Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM) must learn new TP sensor idle position voltage. This learn procedure is necessary to ensure effective engine torque reduction during Traction Control System (TCS) operation. TP sensor learn procedure requires a Tech 1 scan tester or T-100 (CAMS) unit.

  1. Turn ignition off. Connect Tech 1 scan tester with a Mass Storage Cartridge (MSC). Turn ignition on. Follow menus to reach ABS/TCS features.
  2. Select F5: TP SENSR LEARN. Press up arrow to begin learn procedure. Wait for Tech 1 scan tester to indicate COMPLETE. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Tech 1 scan tester.
