Electronically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM)

The Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) is a permanent memory that is physically soldered to the circuit boards within the ECM. The EEPROM can be reprogrammed but cannot be removed from the ECM.
