Catalytic Converter: Service and Repair

Right Catalytic Converter:

Left Catalytic Converter:

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative battery cable
2. Raise and support vehicle
3. Exhaust system and support with suitable jack
4. Oxygen sensor connector
5. Nuts securing catalytic converter to exhaust manifold
6. Catalytic converter from vehicle
7. Transfer oxygen sensor to new catalytic converter unless new sensor is to be used.

Install or Connect
1. Catalytic converter
2. Converter to manifold nuts, finger tight
3. Exhaust system to converter, finger tight
4. Manifold and converter nuts
Torque Value: 21 N-m (15 lb.ft.)
5. Remove support jack from under vehicle
6. Oxygen sensor connector
7. Lower vehicle
8. Negative battery connection
