Installation Procedure

Inspect the anti-rotation tab of the lower brace bracket (2) to ensure that the tab is flush with the oil pan rib.

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

If the brace bracket has been removed or adjustment is required, position the bracket and tighten the bolt (1) to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
Catalytic Converter Seal (3) - Install

NOTE:
Install a NEW catalytic converter seal.
Warm Up Three-Way Catalytic Converter (2) - Install
Catalytic Converter Nut (1) - Hand tighten [4x]
Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket-Upper (2) - Install

NOTE:
Ensure the brace bracket is flush with the engine block boss.
Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Bolt (1) - Hand tighten [2x]
Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket-Lower (3) - Install

Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Bolt (2) - Hand tighten
Catalytic Converter Brace Bracket Bolt (1) - Hand tighten
Catalytic Converter Nut (1) - Tighten [4x] 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
