Removal Procedure
- Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief

» RepositionNOTE: It is not necessary to completely remove the intake manifold to gain access to the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor.

- Electrical Connector (1) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2)» Disconnect

CAUTION: Refer to Fuel and Evaporative Emission Hose/Pipe Connection Cleaning Caution .NOTE: Applying force to the plastic housing of the sensor may damage the sensor. To tighten or loosen, apply force only to the attached hexagon. - Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Fuel Pressure Sensor (2) @ Fuel Injection Fuel Rail (3)» Remove and DISCARDNOTE: Some fuel may leak from the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor orifice after the sensor is removed. Dry the area around this orifice after the removal of the sensor using a lint free cloth and inspect the fuel injection fuel rail fuel pressure sensor sealing surface. The surface should be free of fuel, debris and burrs.
