Preliminary Procedure Remove the instrument panel lower airbag - drivers side. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Airbag Replacement - Driver Side . Remove the instrument panel lower trim panel insulator - left side. Refer to Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Insulator Replacement - Left Side .
1	Communication Interface Module Battery Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector. Reprogramming of the module may be necessary after losing battery power. For programming and set up procedures, refer to Control Module References .

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector.
