Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Cadillac DeVille. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the digital radio receiver to the receiver bracket.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the nuts (1) to secure the receiver to the bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  3. Connect the electrical connector (3) to the digital receiver (1).
  4. Engage the CPA electrical connector.
  5. Connect the antenna connector (2) to the digital receiver (1).

  6. If removed, install the mounting bolts to the bracket to a depth of 3-4 threads.
  7. Align the receiver and bracket assembly to the keyhole slots in the rear reinforcement, with the electrical connection end towards the rear compartment floor.
  8. Install the receiver mounting bolts (1) to the keyhole slots. Slide the receiver and the bracket down.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  9. Install the left rear compartment trim panel. Refer to Compartment Side Trim Replacement - LH Rear in Body Rear End.
  10. Perform the setup procedure for the digital radio receiver. Refer to Digital Radio Receiver Setup .
