DTC P0574: Powertrain Control Module Detects High Vehicle Speed: Description

Cruise Control Module (CCM) uses cruise engaged circuit to request cruise control. If improper conditions exists, Powertrain Control Module (PCM) disables cruise control through cruise inhibit control circuit. During cruise control if PCM detects a vehicle speed greater than calibrated value, PCM will inhibit cruise control system, and DTC P0574 is stored. A history DTC will clear after 40 consecutive warm-up cycles have occurred without a malfunction.
