All Lumbar Functions Inoperative

NOTE: This diagnostic procedure is for vehicles with lumbar support in both front seats. For vehicles with memory seat functions, go to MEMORY SYSTEM article.
  1. Perform LUMBAR SUPPORT SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. If both power seats operate properly, go to step 5). If both power seats do not operate properly, go to next step.
  3. Check for open or short to ground in Red wire between splice S311 and left maxi-fuse block. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If circuit is okay, go to next step. If circuit is not okay, go to step 6).
  4. Check for open in Black wire between splice S313 and ground (G302). See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If circuit is okay, go to next step. If circuit is not okay, go to step 6).
  5. Check for open in Orange wire between lumbar switch and rear compartment fuse block. If circuit is okay, system is okay. If circuit is not okay, go to next step.
  6. Repair suspect wiring. Recheck operation and go to procedures in LUMBAR SUPPORT SYSTEM CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
