Fuel Door Release Inoperative Using RKE Transmitter

  1. If system operation check has been performed, go to next step. If system operation check has not been performed, see SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
  2. Depress instrument panel mounted fuel door release switch. If fuel door release functions properly, go to next step. If fuel door release does not function properly, see POWER TRUNK & FUEL DOOR RELEASE article.
  3. Check fuel door release function using a second transmitter. If fuel door release functions properly, go to next step. If fuel door release does not function properly, go to step 5).
  4. Replace faulty keyless entry transmitter. Verify system operation.
  5. Replace RKE module. Verify system operation.
