Installation Procedure

    Outer Disc Brake Pad (1) - Install

    Inner Disc Brake Pad (1) - Install

  3. Position the brake caliper to the brake caliper bracket.

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) - Install [2x] 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

    Brake Caliper Spring (1) - Install

  7. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  8. With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
  9. Slowly release the brake pedal.
  10. Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 8-9 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads.
  11. Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling
  12. Calibrate the park brake. Park Brake Calibration
  13. Burnish the brake pads and rotors. Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing
