Installation Procedure

    NOTE:

    A second technician is required.

    Install the fuel tank (1) to the hydraulic jack (2).

  2. Raise the fuel tank to its original position.(1)

    Fuel Tank Strap(2) - Install[2x]

    4. CAUTION:

    Fastener Caution

  4. Fuel Tank Strap Bolt(3) - Install and tighten[4x] 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  5. Lower and remove the hydraulic jack.(1)

    Fuel Feed Pipe (6) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 

  7. Fuel Tank Vent Pipe(5) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  8. Fuel Tank Filler Hose(4) - Install
  9. Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp(3) - Install 3.5 N.m (31 lb in)
  10. Wiring Harness(1) @Retainer (2) Install[2x]
  11. Fuel Pump Power Control Module - Install - Fuel Pump Power Control Module Replacement 
  12. Propeller Shaft - Install - Propeller Shaft Replacement
  13. Exhaust Muffler - Install - Exhaust Muffler Replacement (3.6L LGX)
  14. Refill the fuel tank.
  15. Connect the battery negative cable. BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE DISCONNECTION AND CONNECTION (3.6L LGX)
  16. Inspect for fuel leaks.
