Installation Procedure

- Position the front lower control arm (2) on the vehicle.
- Install ALL of the front lower control arm bolts and nuts before tightening.
- The front lower control arm and front suspension should be brought to trim height level BEFORE any fasteners are tightened to specification.
- Install Front Lower Control Arm Front Bolt (5)
Install a NEW bolt.
- Install, but do NOT tighten Front Lower Control Arm Front Nut (4)
Install a NEW bolt.
- Tighten Front Lower Control Arm Front Bolt (5)
Tighten
- First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Final Pass: (75-90 degrees)
- Install Steering Knuckle Bolt (1)
Install a NEW bolt.
- Install and tighten Steering Knuckle Nut (3)
Tighten
- First Pass: 115 N.m (85 lb ft)
- Final Pass: (120-135 degrees)
- Install Front Lower Control Arm Rear Bolt (2) (Qty: 2)
Install NEW bolts.
- Install and tighten Front Lower Control Arm Rear Nut (1) (Qty: 2)
Install NEW nuts.
Tighten
- First Pass: 100 N.m (74 lb ft)
- Final Pass: (75-90 degrees)
- Connect any harnesses or retainers previously disconnected from the front lower control arm.
- If equipped, connect the electronic suspension front position sensor to the front lower control arm.
- Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- Measure and adjust the wheel alignment. Refer to Wheel Alignment Measurement
CAUTION:
This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.
