Removal Procedure
- Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

- Disconnect the starter wiring harness plug (1).
- Remove the starter and generator positive cable nut (2) and the starter and generator positive cable (3).
- Remove the starter bolt (5) and the starter ground cable (4).
