Power Steering Pump Flow Control Valve Replacement - On Vehicle

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Remove the power steering pressure hose from the power steering pump. Refer to Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement (LZ9/LGD)  or Power Steering Pressure Pipe/Hose Replacement (L37) .
1 Power Steering Pump Fitting
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure: 
Replace the power steering pump fitting O-Ring if needed.

Tighten:  75 N.m (55 lb ft)
2 Power Steering Pump Flow Control Valve
Procedure: 
Transfer the power steering pump flow control valve spring if needed.
