July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Disconnect the windshield wiper transmission link in front of the wiper motor and position out of the way. Refer to Wiper Motor Module Replacement .
  3. Rotate the engine forward. Refer to Rotating the Engine for Service Access .
  4. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  5. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the generator.

  6. Reposition the positive battery cable boot at the generator terminal.
  7. Remove the positive battery cable terminal nut at the generator.
  8. Remove the positive battery cable terminal from the generator.

  9. Remove the generator lower bolts.

  10. Remove the generator upper bolt.
  11. Remove the generator.
