Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering flow control spring (2) to the power steering pump.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the power steering flow control valve assembly (3) to the power steering pump.

    Tighten:  Tighten the power steering flow control valve assembly (5) to 75 N.m (55 ft. lb.).

  3. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.

    Tighten:  Tighten the power steering pressure hose to 27 N.m (20 ft. lb.).

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System .
