CAUTION:
Do not strike steering shaft with hammer to remove steering wheel. Hammering could loosen plastic injections maintaining column rigidity.
NOTE:
Use exploded view illustrations for overhaul of steering column assembly. SeeFigure
and Figure
. Perform overhaul procedure with steering column removed from vehicle, and with steering wheel and upper and lower cover removed.
