Generator Replacement

Generator 3800:

IMPORTANT: The CS 130D generator is serviced as a complete unit only.

REMOVE OR DISCONNECT

CAUTION: Refer to Service Precautions.

1. Battery ground (negative) cable.
2. Drive belt.
3. Generator front brace.
4. Electrical connector from generator.
5. Bolts from generator.
6. Nut and battery positive lead from generator output "BAT" terminal.
7. Generator.

INSTALL OR CONNECT

NOTE: Refer to Service Precautions.

1. Generator.
2. Battery positive lead and nut to generator Output "BAT" terminal.
Tighten
^ Nut to 20 N.m (15 lb. ft.).
3. Hand start bolts to generator.
4. Generator front lower bolt/screw to generator.
Tighten
^ Bolt/screw to 50 N.m (37 lb. ft.).
5. Generator front upper and generator rear brace to generator bolts/screws.
Tighten
^ Bolts/screws to 30 N.m (22 lb. ft.).
6. Electrical connector to generator.
7. Generator front brace.
8. Drive belt.
9. Battery ground (negative) cable.
