Circuit Description

Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch is part of neutral start switch. PNP switch is open when a transaxle drive range is selected, or closed in Park or Neutral. PCM uses inputs from PNP switch for ignition control spark advance, speed sensor diagnosis, VSS/transaxle output, and to control idle speed.
