Ignition cycle counter (IGN CYCLES) value is number of times the ignition has been cycled to off since ECM trouble code was last detected. After 50 ignition cycles (key OFF, ON, OFF is one cycle) without any malfunctions being detected, all stored ECM codes are cleared.
