The Teves 4-wheel Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) is designed to prevent wheel lock-up during heavy braking. This allows driver to maintain steering control while stopping vehicle in shortest distance.

Major components include: pump motor assembly, hydraulic accumulator, pressure switch, fluid reservoir with integral filter, 4 wheel speed sensors, valve block assembly, fluid level sensor, Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM), hydraulic booster/master cylinder assembly, and "BRAKE" and "ANTI-LOCK" warning lights.
