SUBJECT: Improved Driveability
MODELS AFFECTED: 1982-83 Riviera with 4.1L Engine (VIN Code 4)
A new prom part number 1226662 has been released for service to correct the following customer concerns.
^ Reduces driveability conditions while cold after start.
^ Raises TCC engagement speed to 49 mph to reduce chuggle comments.
Should you have a customer with the above driveability concerns, prom part #1226662 should be installed only after insuring that all other functional items such as choke settings, timing, etc., are set to specifications.
Proms are to be ordered from WDDGM in the normal manner.
