	Provided that the rollover protection system was not stressed after an automatic triggering, it can be temporarily pressed down manually in order to close the soft top.
	After triggering or damage of the rollover protection system After triggering of the rollover protection system or for damages, have the system checked and replaced by BMW Service. Never move the soft top if the rollover protection system is extended!
	Improperly performed work can cause a failure of the system or an unintended triggering as a consequence and lead to injuries.
	The Owner's Handbook contains instructions and important information about the rollover protection system and closing the soft top.
	Three persons are required for closing the soft top with activated rollover protection system. Two persons must simultaneously hold the hoop guards down while a third person closes the soft top.
	Close soft top. Press the lever to the side and hold in this position. Press hoop guard down. Release lever. Hold hoop guards down until the soft top is completely closed. While doing so, make sure that the movement range of the soft top is kept clear as injuries can otherwise occur. Do not run the engine in enclosed spaces. Otherwise, the inhalation of the exhaust gases may lead to unconsciousness or death. Close the soft top with the engine running, if possible. When the closing procedure is complete, the LED goes out and a corresponding Check Control message will be displayed. Release the pressure on the hoop guards slowly to allow the hoop guards to move up again. While doing so, make sure that hands do not get trapped between the hoop guards and the roof.
