Functional description

The various video sources and video sinks are connected to the respective inputs and outputs on the video switch via CVBS lines.

The image information is transmitted via CVBS signals (Colour Video Blanking Signal). The Colour Video Blanking Signal (CVBS) transmits color and brightness components and synchronization pulses via the differential signal line (CVBS+, CVBS-) to the video switch.

The video switch is activated by the video sinks (headunit and/or rear seat entertainment system) via the K-CAN. The video switch converts the CAN signal to a corresponding switching signal and establishes the connection between the desired video source and the requesting video sink.
