July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal & Installation

  1. Lock steering wheel.
  2. Remove lower trim from instrument panel. See INSTRUMENT PANEL TRIM (LOWER SECTION)  .
  3. Remove clamping bolt. Press down on steering spindle. See Fig 1 .
  4. Detach steering angle sensor from steering spindle. See Fig 2 .
  5. To install, reverse removal procedure. Pin of pivot mounting (1) must rest in square section (2) of steering angle sensor. See Fig 2 .
  6. Clamping screw must be located in retaining groove of upper steering spindle. Replace self-locking nut and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
