  1. Raise front axle into place with workshop hoist. If necessary, insert centering pin of support bearing into bore in wheel arch. Replace self-locking nuts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install left and right bolts. The front bolt is 12 mm x 107. If threads are damaged, they may be repaired with Helicoil inserts. Install inserts so they are flush with original thread. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  3. Fasten wheel arch trim, bracket of oil cooler line, heat shield and positive cable to front axle support.
  4. Install steering gear. Draw in steering gear on screw (1) until it abuts the front axle support and only tighten hand tight. First tighten screws (2), then tighten screw (1). See Fig 1. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install joint to steering gear. Use washer (1). Ensure tapered spigot and bore are free of grease. See Figure. Tighten clamping screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  6. Replace self locking nut and attach tie rod to pitman arm. Ensure tapered spigot and bore are free of grease. Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  7. Install engine mount screw connection.
  8. Remove engine support.
  9. Install plug connections, brake discs and splash guard.
