The Problem: Increase In Control Module Variations

THE PROBLEM: Increase in Control Module Variations

Factory coding worked very well in the beginning but as the control Systems became more complex, and government influence regarding emission and safety issues increased, the number of control module variations increased dramatically.

Bulging Parts Inventories

The early method of factory coding also required the dealership to have available control modules on hand in the event of an immediate need.

Today the cost for dealership control module inventory would be extremely high if the previous factory coding methods where still practiced.
