July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Pump Pressure Test

  1. Detach steering gear pressure line and connect pressure tester (32 4 000 ). Connect tester pressure line to gear. Make sure valve closest to gear pressure line is closed.
  2. Open second valve and bleed power steering. Shut second valve (no longer than 10 seconds). Read pressure. Pressure should be 1280-1422 psi (90-100 kg/cm2 ). If pressure is not within limits, check drive belt tension. Recheck pump pressure. If pressure is still incorrect, replace pump.
