Start and run engine at idle speed. With throttle closed and cruise control system off, measure distance "A" (between nipple and holder on 318i models). See Fig 1 . If clearance is not .04-.08" (1-2 mm), turn knurled nut (adjusting nut on 318i models) to obtain specified clearance.
