Infotainment System Display, Removing And Installing: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Vehicle Diagnostic Tester

The Front Information Display Control Head -J685- is located in the center of the instrument panel.

If the Front Information Display Control Head -J685- is being replaced, the following procedure applies:

-- Connecting and switching on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Switch the ignition on.

-- Select and start the Diagnostic  operating mode.

-- Select the Test plan  tab.

-- Select the Select individual test  button and select the following tree structure consecutively:

• Diagnostic-capable systems
• 005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1 - J794 (MIB 3)
• 005F - Information Electronics Control Module 1, functions
• 0636 - Front Information Display Control Head -J685-, replacing

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
