Peripheral Camera, Calibrating
Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Calibration System:VAS 721 001
Calibration of the peripheral camera is necessary:
Condition
- The installation position of a camera in the vehicle changed.
- The Peripheral Camera Control Module -J928- was replaced.
- When adjusting the overlap range of the individual cameras.
Condition
The calibration requirements must be met.
- Refer to CALIBRATION CONDITIONS
Procedure
-- Check the camera images on the Front Information Display Control Head -J685-.
Condition
- The system is active and is displayed on the Front Information Display Control Head -J685-.
-- Replace the affected camera if the picture has been impaired.
-- Check the respective camera if the picture was not straight.
-- Roll out the calibration boards from the Calibration System:VAS 721 001 at the left and right near the vehicle.
Condition
- The arrows -1- on the calibration fields point in the direction of travel.
-- Install the clamping strips at the front and rear of the calibration fields.
-- Align the crosshairs -2- on the calibration fields each one to the front wheel center of the vehicle.
-- Align the calibration fields paralleled.
Condition
- The vehicle must be located in the center between the calibration fields.
-- Pay attention to the measurement requirements:
Condition
- The dimension -a- 2000 to 2500 mm ± 5 mm, front and rear the same.
- Dimension -b- left = dimension -b- right.
- Dimension -c- left = dimension -c- right.
Calibration Procedure
-- Perform the calibration of the peripheral camera function using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. Refer to Diagnostic Entries .
Condition
- Individuals must not go between the vehicle and the calibration system.
-- Disconnect the battery charger. Refer to BATTERY, CHARGING .
