- Installed on vehicles with lock lockup system
- Removing and installing. Refer to Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- If the Electronic Steering Column Lock Control Module -J764- was replaced, the following steps must be performed with the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester. To do so, select the appropriate program in "Guided Functions" and follow the instructions on the screen.

- Steering Column
- Depending on the version of the steering (with or without dynamic steering) different versions of the steering columns are installed. Refer to the Parts information.
- If the steering column on a vehicle with dynamic steering was replaced, then the system must be calibrated. Refer to DYNAMIC STEERING BASIC SETTING .
- Removing and installing. Refer to STEERING COLUMN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
- The actuator -item 13- OVERVIEW - STEERING COLUMN has a "safety lock for the active steering" (locking magnet).
- "Safety lock for active steering" (locking magnet), removing and installing. Refer to ACTIVE STEERING SAFETY LOCK (LOCKING MAGNET), REMOVING AND INSTALLING
- Check for damage. Refer to STEERING COLUMN, CHECKING FOR DAMAGE .

- Tightening specification. Refer to OVERVIEW - BRAKE PEDAL .

- Actuator
- Installed only in vehicle with dynamic steering
- Must not be loosened or removed from the steering column.
- An "active steering (dynamic steering) safety lock (locking magnet) actuator" is installed on the actuator -arrow-.
- "Active steering (dynamic steering) safety lock (locking magnet) actuator", removing and installing. Refer to ACTIVE STEERING SAFETY LOCK (LOCKING MAGNET), REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Always replace if removed
- The threaded hole for the bolt must always be cleaned (for example, using a thread tap).
- Pull on the steering intermediate shaft to make sure it is installed correctly with the bolt installed. Then tighten the bolt.

- Align the positioning arrow to the "6 o'clock position".
- Steering Intermediate Shaft
- Removing and installing. Refer to STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
