Frequent Damage
NOTE:
Check the Transmission Control Module -J217- DTC memory using Vehicle Diagnostic Tester before starting Fault Finding.
Additionally, check the event memory of the engine control device because errors from the engine control device can lead to transmission malfunction.
Use "Guided Fault Finding" on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Use the "Technical Product Information TPI" in the Technical Service Handbook.
To evaluate complaints and pictures of damage, use Self Study Program EX 335 Multitronic, Part 2.
Check the AFT level before starting the fault finding:
Audi A4, A5. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid .
Audi A6, A7. Refer to Controls, Housing .
