July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Backup Battery

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the Global Telematics Box Module (TBM2). Refer to MODULE, GLOBAL TELEMATICS BOX, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  3. Slide off and remove the backup battery cover (1a) from the TBM2 (1b).
  4. Disconnect the wire harness connector (1d) and remove the backup battery (1c) from the TBM2 (1b).

INSTALLATION

  1. Install the backup battery (1c) into the TBM2 (1b) and connect the wire harness connector (1d).
  2. Install the backup battery cover (1a).
  3. Install the TBM2. Refer to MODULE, GLOBAL TELEMATICS BOX, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
