Upper Control Arm Spacers

NOTE:

Removal process is the same for both sides of the vehicle.

Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Remove front anti-roll bar joint. Refer to LINK, STABILIZER BAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Remove front strut. Refer to STRUT, SUSPENSION, ASSEMBLY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Remove front upper control arm. Refer to ARM, UPPER CONTROL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  6. Withdraw and remove the upper control arm spacers (1) for the front suspension from the studs.

Installation 

NOTE:

Installation process is the same for both sides of the vehicle.

  1. Fit the upper control arm body spacers (1) on the body for the front suspension in position on the studs.
  2. Install front upper control arm. Refer to ARM, UPPER CONTROL, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  3. Install front strut. Refer to STRUT, SUSPENSION, ASSEMBLY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  4. Install front anti-roll bar joint. Refer to LINK, STABILIZER BAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  6. Remove the vehicle from the lift.
  7. Perform Front End Alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
